Our boy Jay Jay was our first dog as well as our oldest. He was true to his Cairn Terrier breed he was beautiful, opinionated, stubborn, and such a character. We referred to him as our "grumpy old man" often and this was especially true while at the vet. He may have be grumpy sometimes but that didn't stop the crew from loving him for everything he is. In December of 2017 he was diagnosed with Cushings Disease (a tumor in his brain that causes extra Cortisol to be released), it was incurable but we did our best to slow down the disease with daily medication and kept the disease at bay for well over two years. In the month leading up to his passing we became aware of a tumor growing in the back of his throat, we worked hard with our vet to keep him as comfortable as long as possible but when he showed us he was done fighting we laid him to rest in the comfort of our home (with a home visit from the vet). We are thankful for every single day we got to spend with him. His favorite things were playing with toys, playing keep away, rolling around on his back (he had a whole daily ritual), going on drives, food of course, and laying with our two littlest pack members Eva and Treymo. Rest in peace you beautiful soul, we miss you so much!
