Our good-natured Dutch, was our first feline addition to the crew. He joined as a scruffy little kitten we saved from the dumpsters of the apartments we lived in at the time. Its almost unreal to think he will be 10 this year in August. Dutch is the most social cat I have ever owned, he says hello to all our guests, and tends to act more like a dog than a cat and earned himself the nickname "Dutch Puppy" at a young age. There was even a period of time he would go outside into the yard with the dogs to use the bathroom. When he was about 5 he got bladder crystals and got incredibly sick, we almost lost him but we made a last ditch effort to save his life by taking him to a random vet when ours couldn't fix him, luckily they were able to save him even though it cost us a couple thousand by the end of it all (between our old vet, our new vet, and the emergency vet). He was worth every penny and we would make the same decision in a heartbeat. He has been and will be on a prescription diet for the remainder of his life but luckily he has not had any bladder issues since being on that diet. His favorite things are his people, tons of attention, catnip, he loves to groom his girl Inara (our white kitty), and wrestle, chase, and play with our young calico Zoe.
